BEAUTY LOVES: FEBRUARY

March is here, which means two things, Spring and February favourites time. Can you believe we're three months in to 2016 already?! Honestly, where does the time go? Anyway, I've only had a few new favourites in February, I'm still loving all of the products I mentioned in my January beauty loves post. But here are a few things that have found themselves in my daily routine.

BEAUTY LOVES: JANUARY

It's been a while since I've written a Beauty Loves post. If you're new around here, Beauty Loves is my fancy name for my monthly beauty favourites. The last time I wrote one of these posts was in June. Where has the time gone? January has been a great month for testing new products because I received lots of new makeup for Christmas, so I have been slowly working through trying each of them and pretty much none of them disappoint. I have also rediscovered some old favourites.

BEAUTY LOVES: MAY AND JUNE

Monthly favourite used to be my least favourite posts to both write and read but over time I have gradually started to enjoy them more, and seeing as I have been away for just over a month, what better way to kick things off than with Beauty Loves for May and June.

As it's been exam season I haven't had the opportunity to try many new products but on the days I had exams I would reach for some concealer for under my eyes (hide the fact that I hadn't had much sleep) and to cover any stress spots. Collection's Lasting Perfection Concealer has been my best friend and hides anything you don't want to be seen. Due to it's high coverage and consistency it does have the tendency to build up in certain areas but I find the best way to avoid this is to make sure you blend really well and set with a light dusting of powder.

Another concealer I have been alternating using is the Rimmel Lasting Finish Concealer. This is another high coverage concealer, can you tell my skin hasn't been that great recently? After experimenting with this many times, I find the best way to apply is to pick up the product with your brush from the pan and then apply to the area. I like to use this as a second layer on certain spots which I am finding difficult to cover. I have found that it doesn't work very well under my eyes but that's just my personal preference.

On days where I felt like wearing more make-up, I have been using my Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette for a neutral and simple eyeshadow look. I go in phases with using this and every time I pick it back up again to use it I realise what a great palette it is. It may only contain a few simple colours but I find that you can easily create a wearable look for everyday easily with them in only a few minutes. My favourite shade is Naked 2, a muted warm brown which I sweep across the lid with a hint of Faint in the crease and Venus in the inner corner of my eye.

I get quite nervous when going into school for an exam and I found the best way to calm me down was to wear some of my favourite perfume. I would definitely recommend this technique if you are an anxious person like me and are need of a little bit of reassurance when entering the exam hall. I received the Prada Candy Eau de Toilette for my birthday and I have fallen in love with it. Usually when I sat in the exam hall apprehensive about what the paper in front of me may contain smelling a hint of the perfume on my shirt calmed me down.

I also received the Bobbi Brown Sheer Powder brush for my birthday and I cannot explain how much I love it. Despite the fact that it does have the tendency to shed hairs on my face every once in a while, it is the perfect brush for powder, blush, highlighter and contouring. I find that it picks up just enough product and blends everything easily together.

What products have you been loving during May and June?

BEAUTY LOVES: MARCH

Another month of 2015 has flown by which means another round up of my monthly beauty favourites is on the cards.

As I am a teenager, I don't see any need in caking my skin in a thick layer of a high coverage foundation. This month I have been wearing the Rimmel Lasting Finish Nude Foundation-£7.99 frequently because it adds a layer of coverage to any redness and spots, not to mention how it sits weightlessly on the skin. Half a pump gives my whole face a light coverage and it is easily build-able to a medium coverage on any problematic areas.

To achieve a natural base you need the right tools, therefore the Real Techniques Stippling Brush-£11.99 is my go-to brush when blending in foundation or concealer. It buffs the product really nicely into the skin and isn't harsh or scratchy when blending. I find that it works well with both cream and powder products, so if I go a little too heavy with blush or when contouring, I can go over it with this brush and it will sort out any mishaps.

Eye-shadows are my one weakness and I am always looking for new ones to try and one that I can't stop wearing at the moment is the Maybelline Colour Show Eyeshadow 'Copper Fizz'-£4.99. It's perfect for those lazy days when you can't be bothered to blend out 4 different eye-shadows in the crease of your eye and makes a great throw on and go product. If you want to read more, I have written a full review which you can find here

I am one of those people that blushes quite easily and I often find myself going red about the smallest things, so when I am going for a blush shade I find I get on well will the subtle corals with a golden sheen, I love products which add a little something to the cheeks and I find that the Nars Blush 'Orgasm'-£23.00 does just that and it has been a product which I have been reaching for frequently during March.

For once I have a lip product to share and the Bourjois Colour Boost 'Proudly Naked'-£7.99 has been a shade that I have been pairing with every make-up look since I picked it up a few weeks ago. It's a lip crayon with the moisturising properties of a lip balm, the shine of a lip gloss and the pigmentation of a lipstick. It's very sheer, so perfect for the minimalistic lip lovers like me and it is another one of those throw on and go products which end up in the bottom of your handbag.

Are there any stand out products that you have been using in March?
