NEW IN: MAC EYESHADOWS

If I am asked to choose between lip products or eyeshadows, without fail I will opt for eye products every time. I love the thought of experimenting with different shades and formulas and creating different looks. 

You may be aware that I visited London last weekend and did a little bit of retail therapy (you can find what I bought at Lush here) and I also went to MAC so I couldn't resist and picked up some new things. 

I have been dreaming about starting a 15-pan palette for a while now and I have read many blog reviews of everyone's favourite day-to-day MAC eye-shadow shades. So I went in with a few shade names in mind and came out extremely happy. 

It's always a good idea to head into a shop like MAC with some products in mind that you want to look at, so that you're not forced into making any unnecessary purchases after being dazed by the bright lights and pretty colours. 

The first shade on my list was All That Glitters-one that many YouTubers including Vivianna Does Makeup rave about. It's a gorgeous golden champagne with a peach-pink hue. It makes a pretty all over the lid shade and adds a wash of colour and would look great on all skin tones. 

To add to my collection, I also chose Sable which is a warm brown shimmer with a subtle purple-red hue and pairs perfectly with All That Glitters in the crease of the eye. The purple undertone works great on all eye colours, particularly on blue eyes as it makes them pop. This shade can be worn on its own and blended out or used in the crease to add depth.

Finally I purchased Bronze which is a gorgeous brown with a warm copper hue. I am yet to try this but when I swatched it, it seemed like the perfect shade to add to my collection. This is another perfect shade for blue or green eyes as it will create a contrast. Bronze looks like a shade which I will wear frequently as I do love a bronze eye.

THREE TO TRY

I ventured into London this weekend and ended up in Lush, smelling all of their delicious bath time treats and I chose three to try. Not only do I love Lush products, but their ethic is great too. I had a browse of the Easter range but nothing caught my eye, so I came home with some products from their permanent line. 

The first bath bomb I placed into my basket was Dragon's Egg-£3.35. Whenever I go into a Lush shop, I always end up smelling Dragon's Egg but this is the first time I have bought it. It has a citrus scent and I imagine that it will turn my bath a wonderful colour once placed into the warm water. It contains Lemon Oil, Bergamot oil, Popping Candy and Jasmine Absolute. 

Avobath-£3.35 is one of my all time favourite Lush Bath Ballistics. I always seem to be attracted to the citrus scents and this is another one of their refreshing and revitalising bath products. Containing Fresh Avocado, Extra Virgin Olive oil, Lemongrass oil and Bergamot oil, Avobath turns your bath a gorgeous bright green and uplifts you after a long day or helps to you wake up in the morning.

Finally I chose Butterball-£2.65. This bath bomb is a lot smaller than Dragons Egg and Avobath, but contains Cocoa Butter and Ylang Ylang oil which are really beneficial for the skin. Butterball has a very soft and calming scent, another great bath bomb to use after a long day.

SPRING MAKEUP MUST HAVES

I am so ready for updating my make-up for spring. So to accompany my my minimalistic spring look-link, I thought why not show some products which I will be dipping into in addition to that make-up look this Spring. 

Soap and Glory not only have great packaging and names for their products, but the product itself is pretty damn good too. Their Solar Powder-£11 is a fantastic bronzer for paler skin because it adds depth and glow without adding too much of an orange tint. 

Something to brighten up the whole complexion is the Nars Blush in Orgasm-£23. If you can get over the hideous name, the product itself is gorgeous, a pretty rose coral with a hint of gold shimmer. This really adds life and warmth to the face making it the perfect option for spring. 

I love experimenting with different products on my eyes, applying a cream eye-shadow like one of the Maybelline Colour Tattoos-£4.99 as a base-for the inexpensive price tag you can't really go wrong. Pink Gold was the first shade I tried from the range leading me to now have a collection of three which I rotate on a daily basis. I adore how they hold any eye-shadow in place all day without budging. 

I have been dipping into my MAC palette a lot more recently, and two shades which I would like to get a bit more use out of this season are the shades Naked Lunch and Mythology. Naked Lunch is a pretty pink toned champagne shimmer-a great shade to apply all over the lid and up to the brow bone. Mythology on the other hand is a copper shade-you all know how much I love my copper toned eye products! 

On a recent trip into Boots I stumbled across the Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayon in Proudly Naked-£7.99 and it instantly found it's way into my possession. As you will probably know by now, I am not a huge fan of darker lip shades, so this pink-peach lip colour quickly became one of my favourite lip shades. I love how easy it is to throw it on and go without worrying too much about fading or smudging.
