The latest buzz in the beauty bloggersphere has been caused by a new launch from Lancôme. They have created a range of 14 lip oils, varying in scent and colour which give a wash of colour to your lips. Known as the Juicy Shaker, the shade 252 Vanilla Pop* fell through my letterbox and I am in LOVE.
Priced at £18.00 each, the product is encased in a shaker style tube and once shaken, you twist the silver lid and are greeted with a soft pointed foam applicator which easily applies the product to the lips. The pointed edge allows you to guide the product without it being smudged onto the skin.
I have to admit, when I first opened the parcel in the half dark I was quite disappointed with the colour. However, when I looked at it in daylight, swatched it on the back of my hand and applied to my lips, I was smitten. It is a gorgeous, burnt rose with a golden hue. What I love about the concept is that all of the shades in the collection are wearable. They look slightly scary in the tube, but once on the lips they give a wash of colour and when the oil has done it's job, it leaves behind a pretty stain. In the range there are 13 shades varying from reds, pinks and oranges and they have also created a 14th limited edition oil, '400 Mint to be' which doesn't contain any pigment.
The formula is lightweight on the lips and isn't sticky at all. It contains Sweet Almond Oil, Omega 3 and Cranberry Oil which are all nourishing for the lips, helping to soften and regenerate them, whilst adding a subtle tint. I can see this being my new favourite lip product because it's fuss free and keeps your lips looking healthy.
